Jon Hart is having a great Junior Season

Averaging 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds in 11 minutes for Edward Waters College

Jon Hart is in his third season for Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the 2nd string Center for the college averaging only 11 minutes a game, and averages 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds. Jon Hart's performance has been inconsistent with his play going from a bad game to a good game. However when the competition is raised Hart's performance raises as well as his stats versus D1 competition on ESPN3 include 9 minutes of play 6/9 field goals, 7 points, and 3.5 rebounds. Hart had his 2nd best game of the season in front of thousands at University of North Florida including 8 points. 4 of his points came from dunks. 

As this semester of basketball has ended for Edward Waters College Hart plans on working extra hard during Christmas break to continue his successes going into conference play. Edward Waters College first game back is on December 30th in Miami.

Jon Hart Gets 2 New Career Highs in Defensive Rebounds, and Blocks

After a terrible game on 02/11/2017 Jon Hart was on a mission to prove himself. Edward Waters College faced Talladega College in Talladega Alabama on Monday 02/13/2017. Jon remained as the starter as he has started 4 straight games now. He won the opening tip off for his team, and throughout the game he played a dominate brick wall defense, and finished defensive stops with huge rebounds. Jon Hart ended the game with 5 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 turnovers, and 5 blocks. His previous high for defensive rebounds was 6, and his previous record for blocks was 3. However, Hart beat both of his records with 8 defensive rebounds, and 5 blocks.

Jonathon Hart held all 3 Centers for Talladega College to a combined 3 points 9 rebounds. The most outstanding play of the game for Hart was a 2 block possession where he blocked All American Jordan Washington(Point guard for Talladega) twice to end the first half. EWC next game is against Vorhees College on Saturday 02/18/2017.

Jon Hart has career night at home for Edward Waters College

Jon Harts’ career high in a basketball game is 13 points. However, this past Thursday Hart recorded his career high for any home game with 7 points. Jon Hart is infamously known to be a better player on the road than at home, and has recorded big stats away including 13 points, 9 points, 3 blocks, 12 rebounds in separate games.

His stats for Thursday nights home game were 7 points shooting 2/3 FG with 3/3 FT 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 12 minutes. Edward Waters College played against Vorhees College.  EWC Mens basketball next game is at home on Saturday February 4th, 2017.
